—About the Author—

Calvin Sehrt’s interest in horror and the supernatural began at a very young age. With an older brother and two older stepbrothers, there was no hiding from the genre and the four boys spent many hours in the woods near their house, hunting for monsters (and fighting them off with their makeshift guns). After school, Calvin would come home and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The X-Files on the family’s small black and white TV and when he was twelve, Calvin read his first Stephen King book. He hasn’t looked back since.

Calvin lives in Missouri with his family and his dog, Henry. His stories are often inspired by the places and people around him. When he isn’t writing, Calvin enjoys listening to podcasts, reading historical biographies and researching family and local history. Occasionally he still hunts for monsters in the woods.

Jess Cripps has never been a fan of horror. When presented with a Goosebumps ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ book she would always pick the option that said, “you run home and hide beneath your bed. Nothing bad happens. The End.” She is slowly learning to love the genre as she edits Calvin’s stories.

Jess grew up in North Wales. She has a BA in English and Creative Writing and a mile-high pile of books beside her bed. When she’s not working at the library, you can find her travelling the world or watching Netflix in bed. One of these days Jess hopes to revisit her Goosebumps collection and complete at least one spooky adventure.
